For this class, we learned about Social Network.
Tow key points of social network is like this.
The Frist points is that New media technologies usually reinforce existing social networks
or even work to isolate people.(network makes unite people and isolate people)
The Last points is that When new media technologies facilitate new social networks,
they simultaneously challenge existing social, political and economic relationships.
Frofessor said that the social networks as science.
Social network analysis is an interdisciplinary social science, but has been of especial concern to sociologists.
And interdisciplinary works is very inportant thing today.(That really effecient if each other understand)
One example is that set a peoson A,B. When A and B know each other. It is network.
When A and B don't know each other. -> It is not network.
When A know B but B don't know A. -> It is not network.
Recently, mathematicians and socialist have made large contributions to understanding networks in general and it contributed to an understanding of social networks.
Also, We learned social networks as technology. (email, newsgroups, and weblogs...)
I thought that collaborative filtering or recommand systems is the best idea of social networks.
Because, the examples are so surprise which I didn't know that.(The Amazon.com and Bar)
And Oracle is very impresive that the graphics maps is effectibly undersood to peoson.
we learned social networks as popular culture, art.
The Information visualize is very very strong work.
Imformation technology class is interest for me that I learned so mach favorable news.

In Last class, We learnd about "The World Wide Web".

The key point of this class was "People make media and then media make people."

Media make people means media make how people think about.

For instance, The messenger, People was born after messenger was born.

That is messenger influence thinking method of peoples.

Also name is same, too. Before baby is born, his or her family often make his or her name.

This is another paraphrase from Marshall McLuhan’s book Understanding Media which

was, in turn, a paraphrase of something Winston Churchill said about architecture.

Then, we talked about tim berners-lee that he was senior research scientist,

founder chair, lcs (laboratory for computer science), mit; and director of the

world-wide web consortium. Also he was consultant at cern European unclear research

center. He thought about communicating method, and he tried networking, WWW.


what is the www?




WWW is a collaboratively authored hypertext which it is a standard.

The WWW was developed to be a pool of human knowledge, which would

allow collaborators in remote sites to share their ideas and all aspects of a common project.

Problem of this research address was that the work was to provide a graphical

is derived from sgml (standard generalize markup language). Http (hypertext

transfer protocol) is an internet protocol designed for transferring information

for hypertext documents. Network protocol is a set of rules used when computers

send information across the network. Http compares this to ftp (file transfer protocol),

smtp (simple mail transfer protocol), nntp (network news transfer protocol), etc.

Media and peoples are in interaction. That's so interesting.And, WWW is very useful.

But I didn't know what is WWW. So this class helped me. WWW is complex, and exciting.

In Last class, We learned "what dose 'digital media' mean".


When the new media is come out, it based on the former media(old media).


So, new media dosen't replace old media.


For instance, the computer file icon, it simulate file shape in the real world.


We talk about tel nelson who is inventor of hypertext.


Hypertext is the way that digital media has been understood new form of writing,

reading, and thinkimg.

Also, we talk about engelbart who is inventer of the mouse, 2d display,

editing, hypermedia & hypermedia e- mail, outline processing,multiple

window displays, document version control, shared-screen teleconferencing,

computer-aided meetings, distributed client-server architecture, virtual terminal

protocals,remote procedure call protocols.

He wrote "Augmenting human intellect". He thinks that population and

gross product are increasing astonishing rate, but the complexity of problems

grows still faster.

So, the emergency with these solutions must be found becomes steadily greater.

And he stated problem, better and faster comprehension & solutions to problems.

I thinks that engelbart is excellent person. Because he invented amazing things

전쟁터에서 실력을 쌓은것으로 유명하다.

하지만 워낙 궁핍해서

다른 진마들에게 돈 빌리러 다닌다.

내가 이 캐릭터를 좋아하는 이유는

그가 제대로 된 '자유'를 주장하기 때문이다.

또, 편차적 시각을 지니지 않고

넓은 안목으로 상대를 이해하는 마음

그는 가지고 있지만,

내 자신이 그런 점을 가지고 있지 않아서

내가 그를 좋아 이유가 된다.
